Osmanthus

Starting as a one-off pairing for a small gallery show in 2019, the Calgary duo of Laura Reid (violin) and Krzysztof Sujata (synthesizer and voice) grew into their 2024 debut album Between Seasons. Reid’s classical ear for melody and texture meets Sujata’s paced improvisation and minimalism. They straddle acoustic and electronic music, and treat the line between the two as almost meaningless.
